Body Dies
		Redding has been making Body Dies for Benchrest Shooters for years, but they were never a catalogued item. Now, with the introduction of the new Bushing-style Neck Sizing Dies, they are available as a companion item for all 48 calibers. Body Dies are designed to full length resize the case body and bump the shoulder position for proper chambering without disturbing the case neck. Competition Bushing Style - Neck Sizing Dies
	The revolutionary new Redding Competition Neck Sizing Die with interchangeable bushings brings an advanced level of precision to Competition Shooters. Similar in design concept to our Competition Seating Die, the cartridge case is completely supported and aligned with the sizing bushing before the sizing process begins. As the sizing process starts, the cartridge case remains supported in the tightly chambered, sliding sleeve as it moves upward while the resizing bushing self-centers on the case neck. The decapping rod is maintained in precise alignment by using the internal parts of the die as a linear support much like that of a firing pin. Meanwhile, the micrometer adjustment of the bushing position delivers precise control to the desired amount of neck length to be sized. Although this die was designed for use by Competition Shooters who have meticulously prepared their cartridge cases and do not wish to use a sizing button, carbide size button kits are available separately. All dies are supplied without bushings.
		TO DETERMINE BUSHING SIZE The proper bushing size can be easily determined by measuring the outside neck diameter of your loaded cartridges with a precision micrometer. Then, simply subtract .001" from the cartridge that had the smallest average neck diameter. Moly coated bullets may require tighter necks and the use of bushings .001” or .002” smaller. Type S – Bushing Style Dies

The Type S - Bushing Style Dies, Competition Seating and Neck Sizing Dies, Body Dies and our New Competition Shellholders are all products of Benchrest and 1000 yard Competition. Now anyone with a standard reloading press can benefit from these advanced techniques.

The amount of resizing provided by conventional reloading dies has always been dictated by the manufacturing tolerances (SAAMI specifications) of the brass cartridge case itself. Reloading die manufacturers have been forced to design the neck diameter of their dies small enough to accommodate the thinnest possible brass.

This may be as much as .008" - .010" smaller than the maximum cartridge dimensions typically shown in most reloading manuals.

Since the majority of cases that the reloader is likely to encounter in the field are thicker than the minimum specifications that the dies were designed for, case necks are often resized excessively.

It can be easily demonstrated that excessive resizing of the cartridge case quickly leads to stress distortion and concentricity problems.

The new Type S - Bushing Style Dies offer a simple solution to this age old problem.

Type S – Neck Bushing Die

The new Type S - Bushing Style Neck Sizing Die provides reloaders with a simple means to precisely control case neck size and tension.

• Uses interchangeable sizing bushings available in .001" increments.

• The adjustable decapping rod allows positioning the bushing to resize only a portion of the neck length if desired.

• Concentricity is enhanced by the ability of the resizing bushing to self-center on the case neck.

• The decapping rod is supplied with a standard size button. This is especially useful for reloaders who are using commercial brass as is.

• A decapping pin retainer is also supplied with all Type S - Bushing Dies. This enables neck sizing without the use of the size button for those who sort and/or turn case necks for uniformity.

Type S – Full Bushing Die

Note: For the ultimate shoulder bump control, use our Type-S Full Bushing Die with our new Competition Shellholders.

Full length resizing while maintaining exact control of the case neck is often desirable in one operation. The new Type S - Full Length Resizing/Bushing Die accomplishes this task with the precision you would expect from Redding.

• Uses the same interchangeable bushings (.001" increments) as those used in our bushing style neck sizing dies.

• The adjustable decapping rod allows you to adjust the bushing position, sizing only part of the neck length when desired.

• Concentricity is enhanced by the ability of the bushing to self-center on the neck of the cartridge case.

• All Type S dies are supplied with both the standard size button and a decapping pin retainer for the advantages and versatility described under our Type S - Bushing Style Neck Sizing Dies.

All dies are supplied without bushings.
